UNION, S.C. (Nov. 18, 2016) – Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/KR4 Arrive-N-Ride’s Thad DuVall had a strong finish to the season as he captured the 2016 Full Gas Sprint Enduro (FGSE) Series Championship with an overall victory at the final round.
DuVall came into the final round with a good chance at clinching his first-ever FGSE title, and the West Virginia native did exactly what he needed to do to make it happen. With top-four finishes in all six tests, DuVall was able to top the first day of racing to put himself in a favorable position for Sunday’s finale. With cold temperatures and rainy conditions, DuVall successfully maintained his championship lead as he once again slated top-running positions all day long. In the end, DuVall was able to sweep both days of racing to earn the season finale overall, as well as the Overall Pro Class Championship.
Luciano Benavides rounded out the season with a second-place finish in the Open A Class, where he earned second overall in the class championship. Benavides earned five victories over the course of the season, proving that speed and consistency pay off at the end of the year. His teammate, Ben Parsons, put forth a solid ride to finish fifth overall at the finale.
Colin Keegan earned his best finish of the season in the Lites A Class as he captured sixth place for the weekend in a highly competitive division. Keegan’s season-best finish was a result of consistent top-five finishes throughout the weekend. His teammate, Coleman Brinson, finished 21st in the same class.
In the Youth division, KR4 Arrive-N-Ride’s Jack Groover captured a podium position in the 85 (12-13) Class with an impressive second-place overall finish. Groover ended the season with one test win on Sunday and several podium finishes in the special tests.
