Scheuring Speed Sports has been partnering with the U.S. Air Force for seventeen years. As part of the team’s partnership team owner Steve Scheuring, Pro riders Lincoln Lemieux and Tim Tremblay, as well as AMSOIL Championship Snocross were invited to Lackland Air Force base in San Antonio, Texas to participate in the Air Force’s “Dip into the Blue” program.
“Dip into the Blue” allows Air Force partners the opportunity to experience what goes into making the Airmen they help recruit, as well as the everyday operations of the U.S. Air Force. The Air Force also partners with teams in NASCAR and Formula Drift, who also participated. The experience began with Airmen graduation. Every Friday throughout the year, 600-800 recruits solidify their status as Airmen with an impressive graduation ceremony. This concludes their seven weeks of basic training and the start of the specified training in their select career choices.
The team also had the opportunity to watch Air Force Special Forces Para-rescue troops, Combat Controllers and Security Controllers train. The experience culminated with a tour of an Air Force C 5 airplane. This massive transporter is so large, it has room for four full-size snocross race trailers.
Scheuring Speed Sports and AMSOIL Championship Snocross are proud to partner with the U.S. Air Force.
