Scheuring Speed Sports will once again present “Race to the Future Scholarships.” In conjunction with Air Force school visits prior to each AMSOIL Championship Snocross race, Scheuring Speed Sports is bringing its race transporter and race sleds to local high schools and secondary schools to showcase the technology the team uses on their AMSOIL Ski-Doo race sleds, Ford F150 support vehicles and race transporter.
“We get the students excited for snocross racing in their area, and when they get a chance to see a professional team at their school as well as go inside a race transporter, it is a great experience for them. We award a ‘Race to the Future Scholarship’ at each school to a deserving student who wants to excel in technology. To date we have given out over $10,000 in scholarships across the United States. It is a great honor to partner with the U.S. Air Force and help them in their mission to attract the brightest and best students to become part of the world’s greatest Air Force,” said team own Steve Scheuring.
The mission of the United States Air Force is to fly, fight and win in air, space and cyberspace. For 2015, the Air Force Recruiting Service is hiring more than 21,000 new airmen. An emphasis is on recruiting people with no prior military service into one of about 140 enlisted career opportunities. The Air Force recruits to retain, so it recruits the brightest candidates possible, then provides them tough, highly technical training that gives them the right skills to sustain the combat capability of America’s Air Force.
