Brothers Brad and Roger gearing up for one of the biggest desert races of the year.Brad Lovell

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 29, 2015) – While Lovell Racing has spent the last few months concentrating on the Baja 1000 and building a new Pro 2wd for the upcoming TORC season, have no doubt: the team is racing in the King of the Hammers. The event has kicked off Team Lovell’s yearly campaign for the last eight years and is taking center stage once again. AMSOIL is the Official Oil of King of the Hammers and Ultra4 Racing. Johnson Valley, Calif., home of King of the Hammers, represents one of the most demanding proving grounds for lubricants.

Team Lovell is the only team to complete over 300 miles of the 2014 Every Man Challenge and King of the Hammers race. On top of that, the team won the Legends class and placed 12th in King of the Hammers. The team faces the ultimate challenge of racing the same vehicle in both the Legends race and unlimited King of the Hammers competition. Team Lovell expects to cover more miles than last year and is prepared to surpass its prior accomplishments.

King of the Hammers week begins Jan. 30, with the opening of Hammertown. Competition takes place throughout the week. The 2015 King of the Hammers takes place Feb. 6. Watch for the #232 AMSOIL/BFGoodrich Tires/Spidertrax truck on the lakebed.
