Justin Bogle 2015ARLINGTON, Texas (Feb. 11) – Taking over the helm for the GEICO/AMSOIL/Honda team, defending 250SX champ Justin Bogle and rookie R.J. Hampshire are ready to make the transition to the AMA Monster Energy Supercross East Series a successful one starting this weekend in Arlington.

“Basically, once racing starts, it means all the preparation and all the hard work has been put in,” Bogle said. “Then it’s time to go execute the plan and do the job I get paid to do, which is race a dirt bike.

“It’s always fun when the season starts. It’s a little hectic at first, but it’s good. I’ve been watching the first few rounds, which makes me really want to get back out there for sure.”

Wanting to pick up where he left off last year, Bogle feels primed to get his 250SX East title defense off to an early start.

“Obviously, the goal is to always be out front and win,” Bogle said. “Of course, I want to repeat my championship this season, but I’m not going to focus on it. I’m just going to go out there and do my thing and everything else will work out.

“It should be a good season though; I’m looking forward to it. I’m feeling good and my bike is working even better. All the preparation put in for the upcoming season has been a lot better this year than it has before.”

Having the opportunity to be paired up alongside the defending champion, Hampshire is ready to make his AMA Monster Energy Supercross East Series debut a reality.

“I’m pretty pumped,” Hampshire said. “It feels like I’ve been practicing for more than a year now for this moment. It’s been a while since I’ve lined up on the gate, but I’m super excited to do it again.

“I feel like I had a good off-season for the most part and I’m healthy right now. That’s a good thing going into my first round. My main goal is to make it into the main event and put down 15 solid laps. I feel like if I can do that, then I can come out with good results.”

Live coverage of the event starts at 8 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1 from Arlington.
